Welcome back to the Gatorade’s High School Basketball Championship. Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, it is nice to be back in tournament mode after so long. Due to the RMCO movement we would once again kindly remind everyone to stay safe and practice social distancing. It’s been a very difficult period for all of us but we hope we all try our best to put in more effort into this. Remember, no spectators, don’t hang around the court and for parents please remain outside of the court area and don’t crowd the entrance. Your cooperation will be kindly appreciated by the UCSI management and us as well.

Boys Under 18

Confucian took over the game against DU Warriors with an astounding lead. Despite the MCO, the players grinded their way throughout the period and came in top form and snatched the W.
The previous season defending champion, SMK BU3 bulldozed St Gabriel and showed them no mercy.
SMK Raja Ali came with a win against SMK Dato Onn as well and UCSI fell to BU4 in the last minutes of the game. It was a tight and close game but UCSI just can’t seem to finish with the W due to a turnover in the last 8 seconds when they were downed by 2 points.
BU4 tried to start fresh and guns for the W the next day against the previous season quarter finalist, Yuhua but it proved to be too difficult for now.
BU2 came close against Jln St Thomas and DU Warriors experienced another loss to Sinar Bintang.

Real Int. gave Saujana a bad day by destroying them with a 62-point lead. BU4 upset Raja Abdullah with a 16 point lead. Speaking about an upset, the next game between SS15 Subang and SMK Maxwell did not go well. SS15 Subang schooled SMK Maxwell by allowing only 3 points the entire game. Now, that’s a clinical performance.
After Yuhua’s dominance over SMK KK White, we had a quick chat with one of their players, Anson. Let’s see what he has to say about the win and what he did during the MCO.
Despite losing to Yuhua, the SMK KK Blue team defeated SMK Mutiara by only 3 points.
Girls Under 16
GU16 BU2 (84-18) YUHUA
This is the only girl’s team that is happening for this week. Unlike the boys team of Yuhua, BU2 decimated their opponents with a big lead of over 60 points.
