Let us get on with the game report on the finals.
Division 1 : GoStrong Vs Bayang Gelap Kings (72-47)
The El Classico game between the two rivalries. Go Strong came in hot and strict on their defenses tonight, leaving no room for the Kings to set their offense smoothly. Go Strong went into full defense mode and tried to retain their possessions in every run, making minimal mistakes from all angles of the court.
Bayang Gelap tried to rely on the Veteran Star Player, Guga to set the play but it proved to be a rather difficult task for the veteran to get a clean basket from GoStrong’s defense. GoStrong’s offenses were orchestrated around Michael and Efron, the dynamic duo splitting the King defense with Michael’s court vision and Efron’s hot splashes on the 3s.
While on the defensive, GoStrong out rebounded the Kings with Syahrul, John,Suresh and Luke.
By the end of the 3rd quarter, it was quite evident that GoStrong was on their way to grab the 3peat title. From here onwards, Kings tried to close the gap but due to GoStrong’s stellar defense and gameplan, they extended the lead even further until the end of the 4th quarter.
Congratulations to GoStrong’s for achieving their first three-peat. It is a monumental achievement and also marks the second team to achieve the 3peat feat other than Angkatan Tentera Malaysia.

Division 2 : Cocoro VS KNT (60-44)
It was a close fight until the end of the second quarter, where KNT turnovered the ball too often and Cocoro capitalized on that. Before you even know it, Cocoro extended the lead up to 20 points at the end of 3rd quarter.
Cocoro are always the clear tournaments favorites and they only suffered one loss throughout their NCBL journey during the group stages. Head Coach Wayne from Cocoro mentioned that it was an unforgettable journey with this team. What’s next for Cocoro is still in the books of the management. Everything is still unclear even though we have won the championship for the Division 2 category. So, stay tuned with Cocoro.
Division 3 : SETIAWANGSA BARAN NATION VS TITAN ARES (42 -35)
Setiawangsa Baran Nation were considered the underdogs of the whole tournament. To survive in the wildest division, Setiawangsa went through legit teams like Bayang Gelap, GoStrong Dev, ATM, Strongwind and beat both Phantoms B, Cocoro D3 in the playoffs elimination.
This is the true story of the underdog. SBN has been in the league for 3 seasons thus far and this is the first time they have made it to the finals and beat Titans. Setiawangsa mentioned that they will try their best in Division 2, as this is the first time they have been promoted, there will be a reshuffle on the rosters.
It is a tough journey for the Setiawangsa team, some time back in the old days of NCBL, Setiawangsa was well-known among the community for producing the best talent. And now, they hope they can continue the legacy.
Division 4 : PUBA vs SWISHERZ 3 & BAYANG GELAP MOB (77-73) (61-50)
PUBA joined NCBL with only one goal in their mind: to win and to dominate. And they did it in a wondrous fashion. PUBA joined two divisions which are the u18 and Division 4 with the same roster and they played their hearts out. The unsung hero of this game is none other than Head Coach of PUBA, Alex Kwan, after defeating Swisherz 3, he rallied his team to go for the final push for this game.
Defeating Mob with a convincing and celebrated their first win ever for NCBL. This is their first time forming a team and winning back to back titles on the same day. Truly a magnificent feat.
We didn’t really think PUBA would be able to win back to back games and it is a game to play back to back with the same roster. This signifies PUBA has a deep bench as well.
Woman: SUPERSPORTS WILDCATS VS SIMBA (58-44)
The Princess of Basketball, Izzati is ready for her game against Supersports Wildcats. It was a close game for both teams in the first quarter but the Wildcats started to pull away. It was a rough game for Izzati as the WILDCATS devised a plan to single her out in the offense.
Due to the Wildcats’ defensive pressure, SIMBA tried to create more opportunities for Izzati to make it to the basket. But it was an easy read for the Wildcats and SIMBA made too many unforced errors leading to a point of no return for SIMBA to make a comeback.
The WILDCATS finally took the W and were undefeated in the entire season. A new queen of the jungle is in town.
