Welcome back to NCBL. In today’s report we have results for the Semi Finals games.
Division 1
Go Strong vs Juggernaut (56-50)
You know Go Strong means serious business when they are back to full force. After a few games unattended, Syahrul and Luke are finally back on the court. Despite Juggernauts admirable effort to contain Gostrong’s firepower, Juggernaut finally fell.
On the GoStrong’s camp, this is not an easy win. They cut it close until the final quarter and due to lack of focus. Here is what Captain Suresh has to say over the tough win.
“This is not an easy game. We made a lot of defensive adjustments just to shut down the key offensive players on the field.”
Syahrul needed a little bit more practice and was out of sync. Luke played a tremendous game. We need both of them to play a more important role in the finals.
Bayang Gelap Kings vs Titans Elite (65-63)
Titans Elite came with Maegan and Haziq, with a scoring center and a seasoned guard on the field, Titans were confident that they stood a chance to the W. However, Bayang Gelap has their own secret weapon installed for all of us.
Enter Guganeswaran, the former national Point Guard that has been dubbed “ one of the finest that Malaysia has produced.”
Guga took command of the court and led the Kings to a 11-2 run in the first quarter and had an amazing game of 4/4 from the 3pt line throughout the game. He even sunk a 3 pointer from the beyond.
Maegan got into early foul trouble and was benched early into the 1st quarter. It was a back and forth game until the Titans managed to take the lead in the half of the 4th quarter.
It all tilted towards the Kings until Guga sunk a 3point dagger from the deep. Followed by another dagger from no.33, Syafeeq.
GoStrong and Bayang Gelap Kings advanced to the Finals on 12 September 2020.
